Help for the Animal Shelters |

Most animal shelters are operated by people who really love animals and don’t like to see them harmed. The truth is more than 50% of the animals that find their way into those shelters will be euthanized. No I am not one of those people who think animals are more valuable the humans but, I don’t think they are any less valuable. Thanks to the animal shelters, we don’t have to look at or think about the mass execution of animals that takes place on a daily basis. Many of them are euthanized and people are out there looking for them. Many animal shelters are run on very little government and state funding. Some rely on donations from everyday people like you and me. They do the best they can with what they receive. I know you give to a wide variety of charities throughout the year and I ask that you think about supporting one of your community animal shelters with a donation. Even if it is a small donation. If you think about it, you can support your animal shelter with different donation types. You can buy food and donate it or just about anything that animals need. I am sure they will accept it. If you are looking for a dog or cat for a personal pet, try one of your local shelters. You may be the difference between the animal living a full life or reaching the state of transformation on an early schedule. Imagine how many strays you would have to meet every morning coming out of your door if there were no animal shelters. I realize they are not something you think about everyday. If you will give them just one thought a year and act upon that thought, you could be the difference in the operation of a shelter and the life of an animal. I know you are a good person. Please give it some thought.
